Songbird

I love this song. It is beautiful and sad. We chose this song to be played as the final song in the cremation service and like the other songs featured on this blog, it really does bring me there to the place where the love we shared was real. It was the song played when I said goodbye, the curtains closed to this song so  I listen to it when I need to feel this sadness which might sound strange and it is but I do believe it helps me. It also features in a favourite film that we both watched regularly. So it has double meaning and brings double sadness. I didnt know anything about this singer but while writing this post, I discovered the singer passed away from cancer in 1996 at the young age of 33. So sad and such a loss to the world.
